[Draft of Hope Chinese School 3/8/2015] Spring is here, the ice and snow have melted, the roads are open, and the school has finally started. On March 6, the Xuri Township Central Primary School in Seda County, Sichuan Province, a remote area of China, was very busy. Today was their first day of school. The school gathered students together to hold a spring opening ceremony. At the same time as textbooks were distributed, charity supplies sent by Hope Chinese schools were also distributed. In fact, this batch of supplies was delivered to Seda County before Christmas on December 20 last year. It was originally planned to be given to students as Christmas gifts. However, due to various reasons such as weather and roads, the school was already on holiday in mid-December. Just two days before the start of school, Principal Danda arrived in the still cold weather on March 4. In the wind and snow in early spring, I rushed to the county town to bring the last batch of charity supplies back to the school, and deliberately sent them out at the beginning of school, telling the students that the Chinese school from the distant United States would send blessings and love to Rising Sun Primary School at the beginning of the new year, so as to encourage students to study hard in the new year and make progress every day.
At the love gift sending party, each student received a love card made by the Student Union of Hope Chinese School. The card was filled with holiday greetings and New Year blessings from Hope Chinese School to the children, as well as winter clothes, velvet hats, pens, exercise books and other school supplies sent by teachers and students of Hope School. The children who received the gifts were very happy, with bright smiles on their faces. Principal Danda sent us photos of the distribution site and words of thanks on behalf of the school and students. Seeing the photos, the teachers and students of Hope couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction, happiness, and pride. They really gave love and gained happiness! Our charity activities not only received strong support from parents, teachers and students of Hope Chinese School, but also received support from many domestic friends, both familiar and unknown, in the process of preparing and delivering supplies. We unexpectedly gained a domestic relay of love and the spread of love.
This love action initiated by the Hope Chinese School Student Union is intended to combine the traditional Chinese virtues of providing help in times of need, helping the poor, and helping others with the American Thanksgiving culture, and advocates students to have a grateful and caring heart. Since October and November last year, a series of activities such as charity sales, donations and fundraising have been actively carried out in the school. In December, supplies were prepared and delivered. The distribution of supplies in March has put a lot of enthusiasm and hard work into the Hope team, and this love action has finally come to a successful conclusion. But this does not mean the end of the charity action, it is just the beginning! I hope that such a meaningful activity will be continued every year and the charity relay will continue to help more children in need in poor areas of the country!
There is a group of children living closest to the sky, in the ice and snow, with thin clothes and simple houses. , incomplete textbooks, such photos may make you cry, may shock your soul, or may make you unbearable, but these cannot stop them from yearning for the world outside the mountains, and they are still eager to use knowledge to give their dreams wings of hope. In the future, they may become doctors, artists, painters, teachers, craftsmen, and they will use their own power to change the face of their hometown! A little bit of our care and help can help them go further and fly higher in their pursuit of knowledge!
Hope goes over thousands of mountains and love spreads thousands of miles. Give love, give hope, and look forward to your participation in the next love action!
