Phoenix City Taiwanese Association, Greater Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation, Phoenix Kangle Building Residents Management Committee in September On the 9th, we jointly held a cocktail party to celebrate the 104th National Day of the Republic of China and the 104th Double Ninth Festival Respect for the Elderly Banquet at the Recreation Building in Phoenix, kicking off a series of 26 events in total to celebrate the 104th National Day of the Republic of China, including Southern California, Orange County, Arizona, and San Diego. Director Xia Chang of the Economic and Cultural Office of the Republic of China in Los Angeles presented a congratulatory certificate, which was accepted by Representative Xu Jiasheng, Chairman of the Residential Management Committee of Phoenix Kangle Building. In his speech, Yu Wenjin, a senior representative of the overseas Chinese community and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Committee, especially thanked and affirmed the Phoenix Taiwanese Association for its dedication and efforts in hosting this Double Tenth celebration banquet. He also wished all the elders a happy birthday, reiterated his determination to support the Republic of China, wished the Republic of China a prosperous national destiny, and led everyone to shout long live the Republic of China. On behalf of Yang Haihua, director of the Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center, President of the Taiwan-American Chamber of Commerce in Greater Phoenix, Zhang Qingling, Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Committee, presented a congratulatory certificate to the senior citizens of the Kang Ning Building, wishing the senior citizens "long life" and "long life without borders." President Zhang Qingling also delivered a speech on behalf of the Taiwanese overseas Chinese leaders, and congratulated the elderly on being as blessed as the East China Sea and living as long as the Nanshan Mountains; Yu Wenze of the Greater Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation wished all the elderly good health and happiness. Chairman Xu Jiasheng of the Connaught Building specially made a "Model Respect for the Elderly" plaque for the president of the Taiwanese Association of Phoenix City, Zhang Shengyi, to thank and praise her for months of raising funds to prepare for this far-reaching event and setting an example for the young overseas Chinese community.

The event includes a special large cake with the flag of the Republic of China, delicious Taiwanese snacks, meals and drinks, golden red envelopes with extra food for seniors in the building, lottery prizes and exquisite birthday gifts and certificates of congratulations. These are presented to each of the 30 seniors whose birthdays are in September and October in Kangyue Kangning Building. The seniors sang songs such as Shanghai Beach to celebrate their birthdays. After the reception, various exquisite gifts, high-end electric hot water bottles, fully automatic soy milk machines and other prizes will be drawn for lottery, as well as movie viewing.

>The construction of the Elderly Apartments in Kangle Building originated from the purchase of land by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the Republic of China decades ago. It was built with the help of various fundraising efforts. The former Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission Wu Yingyi, national policy advisor, specially presented a plaque to hang in hand when the building was completed and put into use. In the Friendship Hall, Chen Shikui, the current chairman of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission, also personally visited and presented calligraphy scrolls to hang in the corridor. This time, we hosted a Double Ten Respect for the Elderly banquet at the Kangle Building, hoping to consolidate our friendship and celebrate the 104th Double Ten National Day of the Republic of China with the elders of the traditional overseas Chinese community and spend a warm and happy Nine-Nine Double Tenth Respect for the Elderly Festival.

Participating in this event were Yu Wenze of the Overseas Chinese Federation of Greater Phoenix City, Yin Fengying, Vice Chairman of the Senior Citizens Association, Zhang Zhaohong, Vice Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, Lin Zixuan, President of the Asian Association of Asia, and Chen, the representative of Taiwanese overseas Chinese leaders. More than 100 people including Long Xi, Mr. and Mrs. Zhan Xiumixian, Fu Caiyun and Yu Aiming, vice presidents of the Taiwan Federation of Taiwan, event directors Lu Quanlin, Zhuang Shuhua, Dou Huizhi, directors and volunteers, and elders from the overseas Chinese academic circle and media attended and presented lucky bags to the guests as souvenirs.
