On January 15th, we returned to Taipei to participate in the democratic election rally in northern Taiwan, visit the Taipei 101 building, etc. On January 16th, I took a flight back to the United States, witnessed Taiwan’s presidential election of the century, experienced the growth process of Taiwan’s democratic politics, and ended my intellectual journey to the beautiful blue ocean of Phuket and Taiwan’s unique Chinese food world. Today I returned to my sweet home. Note: US passport holders are visa-free when traveling to Thailand and Taiwan. Chinese passport holders are exempt from visa requirements when traveling to Thailand, but they need to apply for a visa when traveling to Taiwan.
