Mr. Fan Rong, a Pegasus painter who studied in the United States, was invited by Ms. Karen Tabor, an art teacher at Chandler Hamilton High School, on August 26 , a two-day Chinese painting lecture will be held on the 27th. The students attending the class this time were art students from the school's advanced and intermediate classes. Ms. Tabor introduced to the students that Mr. Fan Rong is a well-known painter at home and abroad, especially good at painting horses. His horses have been collected by state governments, municipal governments, art galleries, and museums. He has donated and lectured to many domestic and foreign charitable foundations and universities and middle schools. He has made many contributions. Last year in 9 Last month, we won the 14th World Outstanding Chinese Artist Award held in Hong Kong. We have been waiting for more than a year. Today we finally have Mr. Fan here, and the students welcomed him with warm applause. Mr. Fan Rong expressed that he was very happy to have the opportunity to discuss and learn Chinese culture with everyone. He then told everyone about China's five thousand-year history and culture, from the evolution of the earliest hieroglyphs to the relationship between calligraphy and painting. His vivid and interesting storyline deeply attracted the students to listen and watch. He then used projection to introduce the stories of the great Chinese painters Wu Daozi, Yan Liben, Zhang Xuan, Li Gonglin, Ren Bonian, Qi Baishi, etc. as well as the significance of their works and the times. Fan Rong also introduced the basic tools and techniques of Chinese painting to the students, and taught them how to draw shrimps with ink.

in 26 In the lecture on the same day, Mr. Fan Rong gave a detailed and vivid introduction to Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Shimin, and his six beloved horses, Lepi, Qingzui, Shifachi, Quanmaojun, Baitiwu, and Saluzi. They made great contributions to the establishment of the Tang Empire. Later, Emperor Taizong ordered that the great painter Yan Liben The students were very interested in the story about the six giant reliefs carved by the great sculptor Yan Lide and erected in the North Tower of Zhaoling. Especially when it was mentioned that the reliefs of six horses separated the two places in the past hundred years of history, everyone was very sad and hoped that one day the six horses would be reunited. Then Mr. Fan Rong introduced the works of famous horse painters from past dynasties. The students listened very attentively. Mr. Fan Rong improvised and splashed ink on the spot. In a moment, a lifelike horse appeared on the paper and won warm applause from all the teachers and students. Then Mr. Fan Rong began to patiently teach the students how to draw horses. These art students were really savvy, and all of them painted seriously and stylishly, and they had a touch of Chinese painting.

The two days of lectures are over. The students are still immersed in joy and excitement. They reluctantly shake hands with the teacher and say goodbye, thanking the teacher for his teaching. Ms. Tabor said that these two days of lectures allowed the students to hear many interesting stories and learn a lot of new knowledge that they had never been exposed to before. They fell in love with Chinese painting and China, just like the principal Ken James. The teacher said in his thank-you letter that this was the best Chinese culture class that could not be learned in an ordinary classroom. It increased the children's interest in Chinese culture and deepened their understanding of China.

It is known that this is the third time Mr. Fan Rong has given a lecture on Chinese culture at Hamilton High School in recent years.
