Don’t break up the group or lose ambition. Only through unity can we have a future

At 11 a.m. on December 29, 2016, members of the Arizona branch of the Chinese Kuomintang held an interim committee meeting. Party members were worried and filled with indignation. Now is the most difficult moment for our party. Facing the ruling Democratic Progressive Party, it is taking advantage of the number of people in Congress and using the "improper party property regulations" to pursue the Kuomintang in the name of transformation in an attempt to eliminate the Kuomintang and destroy the Kuomintang founded by the founding father Sun Yat-sen more than a hundred years ago. Party members reviewed the KMT's setbacks in the previous two elections, as well as the conflicts arising from the pursuit of party assets, various intra-party reform matters, organizational streamlining, and personnel lean programs. They believed that the KMT faced very severe challenges and should seek changes in unity. As Chairman Hong said: "Unity and reform are really not a slogan. After this turmoil, we must strengthen communication in the most sincere manner, and strictly discipline our cadre colleagues. It is good for the party to listen to opinions from all sides and build consensus." The Chinese Kuomintang is expected to hold the party chairman and 20th party representative election on May 20 this year. The Arizona branch of the Chinese Kuomintang fully supports the party's decision. Party members fully recognize and fully support Chairman Hong Xiuzhu’s political opinions and propositions on democracy, anti-independence, cross-strait, economy, nuclear energy, tax reform and future prospects expressed on behalf of the Kuomintang! In response to the two activities of "Special Party Dues" and "Thousand Yuan Donation" launched by the Party Central Committee on October 22, one is to solve the current financial crisis of the Kuomintang, and the other is to raise long-term funds to save the nation and defend the constitutional government of the Republic of China. The first donation will be recorded and transferred to the overseas department after the meeting.
