(Chinese Welfare Association draft) On April 23, the Phoenix Chinese Welfare Association helped overseas Chinese save money to purchase longevity land at Kangle Building. The prices of various Shoudi in this event are 1,000 to 1,500 yuan lower than the original price of Shoudi from Greenwood Cemetery Company. In addition, discounts on other supporting spare parts can save a considerable amount of money for Chinese compatriots who come to buy Shoudi. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., senior overseas Chinese leader Mr. Yu Wenjin, together with Chinese Welfare Association volunteers, Greenwood Cemetery Company general manager David Walker, manager Kristine DInius, and counselor Karla Gottry, have been serving the overseas Chinese on site at the Kangle Building. With the help of volunteers, buyers first register and follow the order. The overseas Chinese selected the location of the cemetery, and with the help of volunteers, they communicated and handled the work in Chinese and English with the cemetery staff, so that the overseas Chinese could feel at ease when buying their birthday place. In 1992, Mr. Yu Wenjin, a senior overseas Chinese leader, teamed up with the Chinese Welfare Association and negotiated with the Greenwood Cemetery Company to establish the only Chinese cemetery in Alberta and group purchased the cemetery for overseas Chinese at a preferential price. Over the years, it has saved overseas Chinese hundreds of thousands of dollars. Since the Welfare Association re-elected its team in 2011, the Chinese Welfare Association has cared about the vital interests of the Chinese compatriots and saved overseas Chinese money in the annual group purchase of birthdays. Last year, we saved overseas Chinese 62,500 yuan in one go. Greenwood Cemetery Company is very grateful to the Chinese Welfare Association for its great assistance. Volunteers participating in this event include: senior overseas Chinese leader Yu Wenjin, Welfare Association Chairman Zhang Zhaohong, Fang Huixian, Yin Fengying, Guan Kunrong, Yu Jintian and Situ Cun
