- Remember the "New Year Tea Party" of the Alberta Modern Chinese School

(Contributed by the Alberta Modern Chinese School) February 4th coincides with the beginning of spring. Some principals of the Alberta Modern Chinese School gathered together to talk about friendship and review the time of working together. Everyone made suggestions for the future development of the school and put forward many valuable suggestions.

The Alberta Modern Chinese School was established in 1996 and has grown from a few registered students to a school with more than 500 registered students today. And was rated as an overseas "Chinese Education Demonstration School" by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the China Overseas Exchange Association. Looking back on the road we have traveled over the past 20 years, every step has been engraved with the selfless dedication of many volunteers, the hard work of teachers, and the strong support of parents and friends, especially the perseverance of the principals. The school today is inseparable from the efforts of the principals and the hard work of every volunteer. The school will not forget their hard work for the development of the school!

Alberta Modern Chinese School remains true to its original aspirations, keeps pace with the times, is pragmatic, innovative, and always puts the needs of students and parents first. Taking into account the different ages, levels, and cultural backgrounds of the students, the school continues to use Chinese textbooks from Jinan University of China and Ma Liping Chinese textbooks. Both Chinese textbooks are used. At the same time, parent-child reading activities are carried out in the lower grade classes, and Chinese history and culture courses are added to the upper grade classes, making the Chinese curriculum of the Alberta Modern Chinese School unique. This gathering further determines the future development direction of the school. While focusing on the quality of teaching, the school will become a big family loved by students and parents!

On the occasion of the New Year, Chairman Tao Shicheng and Principal Wang Yulan would like to extend sincere greetings and heartfelt blessings to teachers, volunteers, students, parents and friends on behalf of Alberta Modern Chinese School! Here, I also wish that Alberta Modern Chinese School and other sister schools will work together in the new year to promote each other, improve together, and make our due contribution to the development of overseas Chinese education!
