On behalf of the government, Liao Jianxun of the Luoyang Overseas Chinese Center came to congratulate the opening of the "Phoenix City Branch of American Hesheng Hall" and the opening ceremony of the ribbon-cutting and Spring Festival celebration. On April 8, amid the loud sounds of gongs and drums from the "Hesheng Hall Shengqiang Villa Lion Dance Troupe" in San Francisco, it was grandly held in Mesa City, Phoenix, becoming the seventh branch of American Hesheng Hall. Guests including congratulatory representatives from the San Francisco Main Church, Luo Province, Bolun, Shelu, Meiliyun and Dianhua branches, leaders and elders of the overseas Chinese community, Liao Jianxun, deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center in Los Angeles, and Wang Ruijin, the overseas Chinese affairs consultant in Phoenix, traveled thousands of miles to attend the event in person. The Los Angeles office also sent flower baskets to congratulate. The opening of the branch hall was held at the auspicious time of noon, presided over by Kuang Zhenguo, chairman of "Phoenix City Hop Sheng Church". Under the leadership of San Francisco General Hall Prime Minister Huang Bingheng, Vice Prime Minister Liang Guojie, Elder Liang Kun, and Overseas Chinese Affairs Councilor Zhao Bingxian?#31561; Chairman Kuang Zhenguo and Vice Chairman Ho Christine dotted the auspicious lions of the "Shengqiang Villa Youth Lion Lion Troupe", symbolizing good luck and good fortune. Afterwards, auspicious firecrackers were lit to kick off the opening ceremony. After everyone burned incense to pay homage to their ancestors, a brand unveiling ceremony was held. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Longzan, Secretary General of San Francisco City. Elders, leaders and Kunzhong from the main hall and branch halls in each port worshiped the gods devoutly and commemorated the merits of their ancestors. The Spring Banquet was held grandly at 6:30 in the evening at Fengcheng Restaurant. Thirty tables were opened. More than 300 heads, representatives, Kunzhong, heads of overseas Chinese communities in Phoenix City, and guests from all over the country gathered together to celebrate the New Year. The banquet was hosted by Chen Longzan, Secretary General of San Francisco City, and Fang Huixian, Overseas Chinese News/Phoenix City Overseas Chinese Affairs Consultant. Huang Pei Yangqin played at the venue. Lei Bingshun of San Francisco performed face-changing and lottery performances to add to the fun. Wang Ruijin and Gao Zhizhong also sang "Ode to the Republic of China" and "Plum Blossom", bringing the celebration atmosphere to a climax. In his speech at the spring banquet of "Phoenix City Hop Sing Church Branch", Chairman Kuang Zhenguo welcomed the clan elders of each clan to come for guidance. We are all a family under the care of our predecessors. We hope that we will continue the tradition and continue to help and cooperate in the future. He said that Hop Sing Church has been established for more than 100 years. In his congratulatory speech, Yu Wenjin reiterated his support for Dr. Sun Yat-sen's founding of the Republic of China. Deputy Director Liao Jianxun of the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Education Center represented the government of the Republic of China at the opening spring banquet of the "Hop Sheng Church Phoenix Branch". Deputy Director Liao pointed out that Hop Sheng Church has a history of more than 100 years in the United States. For more than 100 years, Hop Sheng Church has followed the founding father Sun Yat-sen in advocating the concepts of freedom and democracy and supporting the government of the Republic of China. Now the people of Taiwan can enjoy a free and democratic society. Just like the opening of the Hop Sheng Church, Taiwan also has the freedom to form associations. He said that he was very moved when he saw the flag of the Republic of China hanging in the new association hall at noon. Deputy Director Liao Jianxun praised the talented people at Hop Sing Hall, such as Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee member Zhao Bingxian, consultant Fang Jiezhou, former chairman of the Luo Provincial Chinese Association, and the skilled lion dance troupe, all because of the good development of Hop Sing Hall. I hope that in the future, the Phoenix City branch can train more talents to serve the Chinese community here like the main church and other regional branches.
