Alberta gas prices finally loosen up, how long can $3.72 last? Gasoline is dropping across the state. But how long will it last? No one knows. AAA officials said last week that unleaded gasoline in the state averaged $3.72 a gallon, down 4.1 cents from the second week of May. The national average for the third week was $3.90 per gallon, down 7.9 cents from the last week. Tucson has the highest price in the state at $3.61 per gallon, while Flagstaff is at $3.85. Wyoming's average price per gallon is $3.67, the lowest price in the continental United States, and the highest price is in California, which is $4.17 per gallon.
