Some of the Asian supporters who congratulated Huang Shijun were Qiu Shunxiong and his wife of the Chinese Federation, Zhang Huafang, president of the Chinese Restaurant Association, David Yee, chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, Lu Lihua and his wife, principal of the Arizona Art School, Cui Zengqi, vice chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, and many overseas Chinese leaders from the Chinese community attended the event. There was also an episode during the commendation dinner. A participant suddenly felt unwell and fainted. Chairman Robert Graham stopped everything he was doing, stayed by the patient's side personally, and called 911 to await rescue.
