The 28th Phoenix China Week is about to open. Is there any Chinese in Arizona who hasn’t been to China Week? Every Chinese New Year, China Week in Phoenix has accompanied us overseas Chinese for 28 years, and together with tens of thousands of Arizonans, has brought everyone a three-day Spring Festival celebration filled with joy, laughter, singing and dancing.

Those wonderful folk songs and dances, exquisite paintings, calligraphy arts, hand-made crafts, fine folk paper-cutting crafts, colorful national costumes, exquisite tea ceremonies, mighty martial arts and interesting lion dances. ….

In the rare sea of ​​​​people, you will feel the longevity and splendidness of Chinese culture. A sense of national pride will shine through your unconcealable smile from the bottom of your heart. Chinese people can still feel the celebration and joy of the New Year in a foreign country!

The 28th China Week event organized by the Phoenix China Week Committee to celebrate the 2018 Chinese New Year, the "Year of the Dog", will kick off at 9 a.m. on Friday, February 16th. China Week lasts for three days and ends at 5pm on Sunday, February 18th.

This year’s China Week activities include a dragon and lion dance performance; Chinese martial arts demonstrations; traditional folk dances and ethnic musical instrument performances; and a newly added Chinese tea ceremony performance; there are also classic mahjong stalls; children’s handicrafts; cultural and historical exhibitions; traditional costume photo booths and learning chopsticks booths.

There is also a painting and art exhibition. A prize distribution ceremony will also be held for the children who won the China Week Painting Competition.

Year after year, Phoenix China Week provides batch after batch of students with internship classes to understand and learn Chinese culture.

Year after year, Phoenix China Week has become a well-known traditional festival in Phoenix.

Donation activities to protect Chinatown during this year’s China Week will be held on site. Publicity and charity sale hope more friends will join us.
