The golden rooster celebrates the New Year, and we celebrate together at home and abroad! On January 28, 2017, the Arizona Spring Festival Gala (Alberta Spring Festival Gala) was held at the Meisha Art Center. During the Chinese New Year, we pray for our motherland and our families together, and send New Year greetings. The annual "Alberta Spring Festival Gala" is a good opportunity for Chinese and American friends to experience traditional Chinese culture and art. What surprises will we offer to the audience this year?

> The powerful sound of the Chinese drum will kick off the Golden Rooster Spring Festival Gala. Teachers and students from the Alberta School of the Arts, the Alberta Chinese Orchestra, as well as performance groups from Modern Chinese School and Hope Chinese School, as well as children learning Chinese in American public schools, will wish you a happy New Year and provide a New Year's artistic feast to the Chinese in Arizona.

>The Alberta College of the Arts is still responsible for the quality of this Spring Festival Gala. The large-scale group dance "Huayaohua" of the Dai ethnic group brought the exotic customs of China's ethnic minorities to Phoenix. The girl in bloom, with a bamboo hat on her head, walks among the mountains and rivers of the Dai family. The graceful figure of the traditional Dai "three bends" is no longer the main theme. The modern Dai girl puts fashionable music elements into her life, showing the happy life of the Dai people in the new era. The new generation of teachers from the Art Institute of Alberta put the Chinese modern dance "Contemporary Rhythm" on the stage, using dance to show the rhythm of contemporary Chinese people's life and work. The actors participating in this dance include not only dancers who have trained for many years, but also ordinary engineers, teachers, etc. who work in Arizona, and they rarely come into contact with dance. This is also their first show, and their performance will also bring a completely different visual experience.

Ballet is a classic form of dance, but have you ever seen a human body standing on tiptoes to show the gracefulness of a white swan? Actors from China's Leshan Acrobatic Troupe perfectly combine strength and beauty to present the highly difficult acrobatic show "Shoulder Ballet". In order to give you more surprises, I won't spoil it here.

>The Alberta Spring Festival Gala is a new window for American friends to understand the Chinese community. This year we will join hands with the Alberta Modern Chinese School, hoping that the Chinese schools will work together to showcase Chinese culture. The painting and calligraphy exhibition with the theme of "Year of China" is under preparation, and more surprises will be brought to you one after another.
