请各位申请人务必提前认真阅读有关办证须知，按要求填妥申请表、准备好护照照片、相关文件及复印件、回邮信封及费用。

护照办理须知

申请中国护照所需表格请在领馆网站下载（http://losangeles.china-consulate.org/chn/）。护照换、补发须本人亲自前来办理,16岁以下儿童须父母双方陪同，如一方不能前来，须提供经公证的委托书。

1. Materials required for normal passport renewal

1. 填写《中华人民共和国护照、旅行证申请表》。

2. 近期（6个月以内）照片2张,头部正面、无帽、饰照片,背景白色，小二寸（48mmX48mm），头部宽度为21mm～24mm，头部长度为28mm～33mm，照片清洁无污点。

3. Original and copy of Chinese passport (including passport information page, visa page, extension page).

4. 在美居留证件原件及复印件（如美绿卡、工卡、学习或工作等有效居留签证，或提供移民局批准签证延期或调整身份的证明信原件和复印件。）

2. Materials required for reissue or abnormal replacement of passport

1. 填写《中华人民共和国护照、旅行证申请表》 。

2. 提供原护照复印件或其他证明申请人中国国籍和身份的材料（如户口簿、身份证或出生公证等）复印件、护照遗失/损坏报告（遗失护照有报警记录的，请提供报警单）。

If you have ever applied for a passport renewal or extension at the Consulate General in Los Angeles, please indicate the specific time of the renewal or extension in a prominent position on the application form. If you have a copy of the extension page, please also provide it. This will help speed up the processing time of your passport.

3. 2 photos, the photo specifications are the same as before.

4. 在美居留证件原件及复印件（如有，如美绿卡、工卡、学习或工作等有效居留签证，或提供移民局批准签证延期或调整身份的证明信原件和复印件。）

5. Coming to the United States through irregular means, without a copy of the visa to enter the United States.

（1）无护照者，须提交户口本、身份证复印件，填写《书面申请》表，详细说明在中国的履历（包括原来学习和工作的单位）、来美经过、在美身份、国内亲友的联系地址、电话等。如有国内公证机关出具的《出生公证书》，也请提供。

(2) Those who have a passport must provide the original passport and fill in the "Written Application" form.

3. Mailing method and charging standard

1. All application materials that have been met by a consular officer and signed on the application form can be mailed to our embassy for passport renewal or reissue.

2、领馆邮寄地址为：

3、请寄来申请材料、支票、回邮信封。

关于支票，我馆只接收银行汇票或MONEY ORDER，抬头请写：CHINESE CONSULATE。请填写相应数额，不设找赎，不收现金。

回邮信封上务必写清申请人收件地址及联系电话，回邮信封只接受PRIORITY MAIL或EXPRESS MAIL，请贴足邮票。我们会用您的回邮信封将办好的护照回寄给您。

4、护照换、补发费用为：

35美元/人+5美元（邮寄手续费）+回邮信封（须贴足邮资）

5、善意提醒

如果您想两人或两人以上使用同一个回邮信封邮寄护照，最好是办证情况都属于正常换发，因为护照非正常换发或补发的办理时间长短无法确定。

4. The time required to apply for the certificate

正常换发的护照：按收到邮件日期为准，约15个工作日+回邮时间。

Abnormally renewed or reissued passport: The time cannot be determined. Once the application is processed, we will send it back to you as soon as possible.

因邮寄途中存在中途遗失、损毁或延误的可能，请您充分估计风险，预留足够时间。最好在信封上贴好扫描条，加贴Delivery Confirmation以方便追查邮件。
