A charity silent auction was held at the cocktail party at 5:30. Artworks and daily necessities from China, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines and other countries were beautifully displayed in front of the guests. Guests could write the auction price in front of their favorite works. After nearly an hour and a half of silent auction, many exquisite oriental works of art were awarded to philanthropists.
The dinner officially started at 7 o'clock. In 2013, the Asia Pacific Community Advancement Association selected three outstanding Asian women. They are Dr. Candace Lew, real estate agent Ethel Luzario, and Chinese-American Justice Deng Zhou Yading. The Asian Pacific Community Advancement Association used a video to tell the touching stories of three Asian women. Chinese-American Justice Deng Zhouyading's biggest wish when she was a child was to become a teacher. After she graduated from the undergraduate program, her father asked her to continue taking law courses to become a lawyer. Her professional efforts allowed her to become the Chief Presiding Judge of the Phoenix Municipal Court. Maybe everyone thought that she must have given up on her dream of being a teacher before she stepped onto the podium. In fact, she does not. She invites students from the school to the court almost every day to understand the legal procedures, experience the spirit of the law, and encourages them to study hard and pursue their dreams. Not only has she become an outstanding representative in the legal profession, but she has also realized her dream of educating the younger generation.

The Asian Pacific Community Promotion Association fundraising dinner is one of the highest-level Asian fundraising dinners in Arizona. Successful Asian businessmen, doctors, and politicians all support this organization. The Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association was founded by Chinese-American doctor Xu Kailai. Over the past decade, APCA has provided hepatitis B testing, vaccinations, cold shots, diabetes screenings, cancer education and medical referrals to thousands of Arizonans. Of course, in addition to these daily health screenings, there are also many special projects for ethnic minorities.
