(Overseas Chinese Communications) The 2013 Chinese National Day Celebration and Miss Chinese Beauty Pageant, hosted by the Greater Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation and strongly supported by the Chinese community, was successfully concluded on the evening of July 4th.

The Overseas Chinese Federation has a variety of National Day activities this year, including the "I Love Arizona" art competition and the "Beauty of Arizona" photography competition co-organized by the Overseas Chinese Federation and the Asian Photography Association of Asia. The winning works were not only widely displayed at the celebration venue, but also an award ceremony was held at the conference. As the main theme of the National Day, the Miss Chinese Beauty Pageant is a colorful climax. After many beauty competitions and competitions of wisdom, the results of Miss Chinese Phoenix 2013 have been produced:

The champion was won by No. 2 Lacey Jinxi Wen, the runner-up was won by No. 6 Serrena Lee, and No. 1 Diana Diep won the third place. The other award winners are: Miss Talent No. 6 Serrena Lee. Lisa Baer, No. 4 Best Photogenic Miss. The Best Internet Popularity Award was won by No. 5 Jennifer Price-Smith (69,121 votes), and the second place was No. 3 Angela Zhang (53,447 votes). Miss Best Friendship was chosen by mutual voting among contestants, and was won by No. 2 lacey Jinxi Wen. The most popular Miss is No. 1 Diana Diep. She is the beauty who has raised the most money for the National Day beauty pageant. This year's National Day Gala stirred up the atmosphere with a performance by the Overseas Chinese Federation's Swiss Lion Troupe, members of the Deng Xinping Veterans Association took the stage to carry the flag, and the Chandler Children's Choir sang the national anthem. Previous chairmen of the Overseas Chinese Federation were invited to the stage, and the current leadership members of the Overseas Chinese Federation and the chairmen of the affiliated overseas Chinese associations also took the stage to take photos. Chairman Zhang Huafang, on behalf of the Greater Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation, expressed his gratitude to the Chinese community for their strong support to the Overseas Chinese Federation over the past 43 years, and to the volunteers for their selfless contributions to the National Day activities. The Overseas Chinese Federation awarded commemorative medals to activists, sponsors and individuals.

This year's beauty pageant kicked off with the beauties' collective dance "Hip Hop Dance" 1, 2, 3". The dance was choreographed by artistic director Hu Qiuzi. It was fashionable, lively and unique. The beauty pageants showed off their talents and wits through swimsuit shows, talent shows, smart quizzes, cheongsam shows, etc., and finally selected the champion, second and third runner-up, and each award also went to the winner, making the 2013 National Day beauty pageant a successful conclusion. Because the beauties were in full bloom, the writing was not enough. Fortunately, President Hong Zheng of the Asian Photography Association of Asia, photographer Mr. Lin Yuan and many photography masters captured the beautiful photos of the party, allowing the beautiful turns of the beauties to be captured in the beautiful moment of youth.

There were also many entertainment songs and dances participating in this National Day pageant: the humorous group dance "Jazz Spring and Autumn" performed by New Oriental School, the youth Chinese dance "Battle Hymn of the Seven Kingdoms", and the "Feeling Good" modern trio dance, etc. The program demonstrated the consistent standards of New Oriental Art School. The Alberta Chinese Chinese Orchestra performed Cantonese opera "Ode to Lychee", sung by soprano Gu Yayu. SumbaAZ Dance performed a three-point style "Brazilian Carnival Samba" that was passionate and romantic, and received full applause. The three-chord combination violin playing is even more compact and jumps cheerfully. The program of the conference was controlled by emcees Yu Xinyu and Huang Shijun. They cooperated seamlessly and were full of witty words. Ms. Yu Xinyu has multiple language talents and her commanding ability is even more remarkable. During the conference, the Deng Xinping Veterans Association presented scholarship awards to outstanding Chinese disciples in 2013. The lucky draw was also conducted smoothly.

Over the past forty-three years, due to the strong support from the Chinese community, the National Day celebrations and beauty pageants held by the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation have been successfully held. From the moment the new leadership team of the Overseas Chinese Federation takes office every year, the process of celebrating National Day on July 4 has already begun. From encouraging beauties to register, to basic training, improving their performance, and sublimating their appearances; from seeking sponsorship, collecting advertisements, and selling tickets; various groups of the Overseas Chinese Federation and volunteer teams from all walks of life have devoted countless time and energy to this end. Some people were good at dancing and contributed their talents to the conference; some people traveled all over Phoenix and received generous donations from many enterprises, restaurants, shops, and philanthropists to raise funds for the celebration. Because we are united, we can see the loyalty of Chinese Americans to their country in the beautiful scenery of July 4; see the results of art and photography competitions; see the inheritance of Chinese culture; and at the moment when the beauties turn around and the phoenix flies on the branches, the sweat and tears on the faces of the volunteers can no longer be distinguished, and there is only one word for everyone to encourage each other: let us continue to work hard next year!

>The hero behind the scenes is the Federation of Overseas Chinese

>The Federation of Overseas Chinese held National Day celebrations this year. In addition to the Miss Chinese beauty pageant, the National Day painting competition and photography competition both achieved results. The Overseas Chinese Federation has added different forms of artistic and cultural activities to allow more people to participate, adding to the artistic atmosphere of the Chinese community in Phoenix and enriching the cultural life of the Chinese community. This is nothing short of a very meaningful thing. Meaningful things will get everyone's support. The Miss Chinese Phoenix Pageant is a household name. The painting competition and photography competition received many entries, reflecting the enthusiastic response and participation of the community and schools, and received good publicity effects. We deeply respect the vast number of supporters and participants! Meaningful things will also receive help from everyone. The judges of the Miss Chinese beauty pageant, photography competition and painting competition are mostly professionals with high standards and enthusiasm. They also have a spirit of working hard to develop and inherit culture and art. They do not care about spending time and energy, and contribute their own strength to running the event wholeheartedly. There are also a large number of volunteers who enthusiastically participate in each event, and we have deep respect for them! Meaningful things are also indispensable without the care and encouragement of enthusiastic overseas Chinese, and the support and sponsorship of people from all walks of life. With their generosity, the activities can proceed smoothly, so that meaningful activities can bear fruit and become successful. For decades, the Overseas Chinese National Day and beauty pageants have not relied on the support of large consortiums or huge advertisements from big businesses. They have relied on the strength of our Chinese community. We are proud of this! At the same time, I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to all the enthusiasts!
