The National Park Free Days in 2012 were officially announced. Recently, the National Park Service issued an announcement of the National Park Free Days in 2012. There will be 17 free days next year. The specific dates are as follows: 1/14 Date 16 Martin Luther King Jr. Day 4/21 Date 29 National Park Day 6/9 Outdoor Day 9/29 National Public Lands Day 11/10 Date 12 Veterans Day The Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Forest Service will also open their recreational areas free of charge on these days. The Bureau of Reclamation is free on September 29 and November 12.
