Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church’s 2012 Annual Retirement Meeting [Phoenix Fengming Report] On the fourth weekend of May 2012, as Memorial Day is a long weekend, Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church will use this long weekend to hold its annual retirement meeting at Camp Pinerock at Prescott. This year's retirement party was attended by 313 people from the Chinese and English departments, including adults, children and teenagers. Sister Yu drove us, a group of 5 of us, and set off from Gilbert at 3:00 pm. We clicked on the GPS navigation in the car and arrived at the campsite at Songshi Camp smoothly. We checked in, received everyone's ID cards, and found the room prepared for us by the conference. This time, we, the sisters of the Evergreen Fellowship, were given special care. We were assigned to a small wooden house with three rooms, five single bunk beds and two double beds, arranged in rows for 7 people. No one needed to sleep on the upper bunk, and the 7 sisters were all good and familiar sisters. After settling in, we took out the dinners we had prepared each. Sister Guixiang prepared large steamed buns, Sister Yu prepared a large box of fried rice noodles, and I prepared sesame sauce pancakes and five-spice peanuts. We quickly delivered the extra food to the reporting office, because some brothers and sisters rushed directly to the camp after work, and the extra food we had was available for them to eat. After dinner, the three of us walked out of the small wooden house. A gust of north wind blew, and it was really chilly. Thanks to Sister Yu who notified me in advance and brought a jacket that is only worn in winter to prepare for the cold. Leaving the bustling and noisy city, we came to the deep mountains and pine forests. Although the weather was cold, the air was particularly refreshing, giving us a sense of sobriety and enjoyment. The surrounding environment is beautiful but not delicate. There are beautiful red, yellow, white and other roses carefully planted in the flower pond. The wind blows the fragrance of the flowers. Tall pine trees stand on the rugged mountains. It really deserves to be called Pine Rock Camp. There will be a brief opening ceremony from 8:00 to 8:15 p.m., and then the Chinese and English sections will deliver sermons on different themes. The Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church’s 2012 annual retirement meeting specially invited Pastor Lu Shaochang to be the keynote speaker. Pastor Lu Shaochang is an associate professor of Old Testament at Zhengdao Evangelical College, ph.D.&Th.M, and director of the department. He has many responsibilities in Bible and theology, church establishment, leader training, theological education, writing and other ministries. The "Commentary on Isaiah Volume 1" written by him for Tiandao Library in Hong Kong is expected to be published this year, and Volume 2 is currently being written. The theme preached for the retirement meeting this time is "Called to Glory". The theme message is divided into four parts, (1) starting with the calling: the call to encounter God, the life refined by God, service in season and out of season; (2) Commitment again, commitment and entrustment, commitment and price, commitment and concentration; (3) Please use my family: God’s love inspires us to commit, God’s holiness urges us to commit, God’s love and holiness urges us to act; (4) Until the kingdom of glory: the desire of God’s life in Christ; the practice of God’s life in life; the God’s life entering the riches of the Kingdom of God, etc. After four lessons, Pastor Lu used Isaiah’s call to dedicate himself to service, from the beginning of the call, to commitment, to asking for use in my family, to the kingdom of glory, connecting us with a line, clearly teaching us what to do, and stimulating our enthusiasm and sincerity for commitment. Even if you fail, as long as you are willing, God will definitely help you, walk with you, and work with you until you enter the kingdom of glory and abundance. Saturday afternoon is a break, with ball games, mountain climbing, and art exhibitions. There were 7 of us, and Sister Yu drove us to the lake. The lake is very close and can be reached in just over ten minutes. This lake is so beautiful. It is embedded in the mountains. The dark blue lake is like a bright mirror, but it is unfathomable. Young people and children are climbing on the rocks, trying to climb to the top of the high rock, but they can't. The steep rocks are daunting. There is also a huge garden stone placed on the top of the rock, as if it could fall down at any time. We took photos by the beautiful lake as a souvenir. At 8:15 p.m., there was a Chinese and English star party, and each fellowship performed wonderful programs: drama, song lunch, and solo singing. The program was interspersed with prizes for guessing. The auditorium was filled with laughter and laughter, and hundreds of people gathered together. Sunday morning is the Lord's Day and is the Eucharist service. "I love you forever" will last throughout retirement. While the adults were gathering to listen to the sermon, there were co-workers who were taking care of the children attentively. Thanks to their selfless dedication, the parents of the children could listen to the sermon with peace of mind. Thanks to the conference staff for setting up medical first aid co-workers and physical therapists for the conference, so that this retirement meeting was conducted safely and smoothly. We all went up the mountain with hearts that were ridiculed and thirsty for righteousness. After three days, we were filled with the Holy Spirit and came down the mountain full. We were stirred up with enthusiasm and enthusiasm for commitment, leading us to humble ourselves and become vessels in line with God’s heart. 2 Peter 1:3-11 teaches us this: "For God's divine power has given to us all things that belong to life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue. For this reason he has given to us great and precious promises, so that, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust, God is a partaker of the nature. For this very reason, add to your faith virtue; to virtue, knowledge; to knowledge, self-control; to self-control, patience; to godliness, brotherly love; and to brotherly love, love for all men. If you have these in abundance, you will have them. Do not be idle and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who does not have these things is blind and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brothers, be more diligent in making your calling and election sure. If you do these things, you will never fail. "Amen! Pastor Lu Shaochang’s sermon, audience at the venue, group worship, group discussion
