Recently, "U.S. News" ranked the top ten hospitals in the United States for 2012-13, as well as the ranking of each hospital specialty, and the ranking of hospitals in each state.
Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix ranks among the best in the state, ranking first in 11 of 15 specialty ratings. The departments of diabetes and endocrinology, geriatrics, heart and heart surgery, and nephrology are among the best in the country, and the best in the state for cancer, ear, nose, and throat.
