Honda Motor Company announced on the 23rd that it would recall 1,316 2006 CR-V multi-purpose vehicles in the United States because the welding of car parts is defective, which may affect the driver's operation. Honda said in a statement that improper welding methods were used on the control levers of the 2006 model cars during the production process, which may cause the welding joint to break, affecting the driving operation of the car and increasing the risk of a car accident. But Honda said there have been no reports of crashes or injuries caused by welding problems. The company will start sending letters to vehicle owners in mid-April, and also encourages owners to go to dealers to check and replace parts.
