Air Force One costs nearly $180,000 per hour (Alberta Times) If you are still complaining about the expensive air tickets next time, please think about the expensive flight cost of Air Force One. ?#31354;Military One?#65288;Air Force One) is the special plane of the President of the United States, usually a Boeing 747 aircraft. According to the latest Congressional Research Service report, its flight costs per hour are as high as $179,750. If you factor in the cost of passengers and accompanying cargo aircraft, the total cost per flight will be even higher. If the flight is on official business, the cost will be borne by taxpayers. If the flight is for political propaganda, the relevant propaganda agency will pay for the government. Although there is not much information about the cost of flying presidential travel, some early studies can still provide a glimpse: the cost of Air Force One to travel to Europe in 1989 was $1 million, and the cost of traveling to Hawaii in 1990 was $1.5 million. If additional related expenses are added, the cost will be even higher. The total cost of the US president's visits to Africa, Chile and China in 1998 was US$42.8 million, US$10.5 million and US$18.8 million respectively.
