Brewer signed a bill on the 16th to outlaw the drug "bath salts" Governor Brewer signed an emergency bill on the 16th to classify seven chemicals used in the manufacture of "bath salts" as state dangerous drugs. The drug has been legally sold over the counter in stores and online, and it has side effects similar to methamphetamine or cocaine. This drug, also known as Ivory, Ivory Snow Wave, Ocean, Ice Snow, Vanilla Sky, Purple Wave 2, Red Dove, Hope Catch Scar, is currently banned in more than 30 states. Anyone who possesses, produces, sells or transports it will be guilty of drug trafficking or possession. This bill was completed on the 15th and signed by the governor on the 16th to take effect immediately. This is the first bill signed by the governor this year.
