Since its establishment 20 years ago, the National Association of Chinese Schools has been adhering to the purpose of serving Chinese schools and Chinese communities across the United States, promoting Chinese culture, and promoting cultural exchanges and friendly people-to-people exchanges between the United States and China. It has provided services to more than 500 member schools and ten schools of the association. More than 10,000 young students of all ethnic groups and more than 8,000 teachers and staff serve wholeheartedly. With the full support of their home countries and all walks of life in North America, they have become the main force leading thousands of troops to promote the vigorous development of Chinese amateur education in North America, and have become an important part of mainstream North American society that cannot be ignored. It is understood that in recent years, there has been a craze for Chinese language all over the world, and Chinese education is booming all over the world. Even so, only the National Association of Chinese Schools, a grassroots organization of new immigrants from mainland China dedicated to Chinese education, has been able to hold regular national annual Chinese education conferences over the past two decades, making the Chinese amateur education industry in North America ever-changing, prosperous and continuous. At the upcoming 10th National Congress and Chinese Education Seminar, the association will have an in-depth discussion and summary of the twenty years of work, brainstorm, gather strength, formulate strategies, and promote the better development of Chinese education in North America.

This conference coincides with the 20th anniversary of the association. Not only does the association have mature development experience, but many member schools also have rich experience in teaching and management. Therefore, this Chinese education seminar will pay more attention to the common issues that are generally concerned about Chinese education, focus on summarizing and sharing the practical experience of Chinese education, and strive to select practical and effective topics, and the arrangement is compact and reasonable, so that the participants will gain a rich harvest and leave with a full load; through this conference, we will effectively promote the further development of Chinese education in the United States!

The conference will invite famous masters from the political circles and Chinese education circles of China and the United States to give speeches at the conference to expand ideas, explore and utilize various resources; the conference will arrange lectures by famous experts and scholars in multiple fields and topics related to Chinese education, including AP Chinese exams, textbooks and teaching methods, etc.; Nearly 20 existing "Chinese Education Demonstration Schools" across the United States will be invited to speak out and share their school development history and successful experiences. The conference will also pay more attention to the various experiences accumulated by members on the front line of teaching and management. Based on multiple questionnaire surveys and analysis, it will gain an in-depth understanding of topics of common concern, which are divided into the following six topics. Communicate extensively and discuss in depth. 1. Chinese school management 2. Chinese education and Chinese school development 3. Research on Chinese curriculum and teaching materials 4. Exchange of experience in Chinese teaching methods 5. Teaching evaluation 6. Social environment of Chinese education In addition to the above topics, the association will also honor the association’s work participation award in the past two years, and the National Chinese Education Outstanding Work Award, Outstanding Teacher Award, etc. The association will also hold a summary of conference work, review conference development experience, formulate a vision plan for further development, and elect the 11th Board of Directors.

It is reported that the current council is leading the preparations for this year's annual conference. The executive committee composed of eight local Chinese schools has undertaken many logistical services. Various overseas Chinese organizations have given active support to the conference. The entire preparatory work began in early 2014 and has been progressing step by step in an orderly manner. Currently, more than 300 representatives from all walks of life have signed up to participate, reaching a new peak. The total number of member schools participating in the conference will also reach a new high. Since the rise of Chinese amateur education in the late 1980s, all member schools have been forging ahead unremittingly. Teachers, parents, and educators have worked hard to build a Chinese amateur education with North American characteristics. They have made great contributions and even paid the price with their lives. Letting our children and grandchildren and children of all ethnic groups learn Chinese, inherit and carry forward the extensive and profound Chinese culture, is a grand cause that will last forever, and is also a great cause of building the soft power of the great Chinese nation. However, the road to building a scientific and mature Chinese amateur education system is arduous, tortuous, and has a long way to go. Let us pay attention, care and invest in this great cause together, and create a more brilliant new world of amateur Chinese education in North America!
