(12/5 Liao Bing Lecture Time and Location Change Notice)

Dear friends,

After the announcement of Dr. Liao Bing’s EQ Parenting lecture was released on the afternoon of December 5, it attracted widespread attention from the Chinese community in Alberta, and registration for the lecture was enthusiastic. The original lecture venue was no longer large enough to accommodate the number of existing lecture registrants, so we contacted a lecture hall that could accommodate more audiences. The new lecture address is only 5 minutes away from the original lecture address. In order to ensure that parents of Hope Chinese School can arrive at the lecture venue in time after class, we have postponed the lecture time by 30 minutes. Our lectures still provide supervision for children aged 5-10 years old. The child supervision is right next to the lecture hall, only separated by a door, which is very safe and convenient. At the same time, for your convenience, we have drawn a map of the new address of the lecture, please see the attachment.

Hope Chinese School Dr. Liao Bing’s new lecture time and location are as follows:

December 5, 4:30-7:30 pm at Mesa Public School District Education Center, 855 W.8th Ave., Mesa AZ 85210 (Please see the map attachment for details of the new location), contact person: Hope Chinese School Student Union, Yu Xiaochun (bri25yu@gmail.com) Gao Rubi (gaoruby310@gmail.com)

> We sincerely ask everyone to spread the lecture information enthusiastically so that more Chinese parents and children can benefit!

How we are parents in the United States today. Face to face with Dr. Liao Bing We immigrated from China to the United States in an era of rapid change. We were once children in China and now we are parents in the United States. However, in a foreign country, time has passed, and the parent-child relationship we ourselves have experienced will no longer naturally reappear between us and our children, and the children face a growing environment that is unfamiliar to us. We must explore, learn, think, and even practice how to be good parents to our children. The Student Union and School Committee of Hope Chinese School, Modern Chinese School, and Zusun Chinese School in Arizona will hold three talks on "How We Become Parents in the United States Today" on December 5th and 6th. The invited guest is Dr. Liao Bing. Dr. Liao Bing graduated from Peking University in 1984, and later obtained a PHD from the University of Houston and an MBA from Rutgers University. He is a senior researcher in big data analysis and simulation at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She once served as a mathematics teacher at The Lawrenceville School, a private high school, and has a strong passion for education. He founded non-profit educational institutions such as Anglo-Chinese Language School, Anglo-Chinese International School, "English-Chinese in Beijing" Language and Leadership Summer Institute, and Anglo-Chinese Princeton Language and Leadership Summer Institute. He has served as the general consultant of the New Jersey Parent-Child Education Club for twelve years and has given more than 100 lectures, tutoring forums and talks on various topics such as parent-child relationships. He has been warmly welcomed by parents and received rave reviews. In 2002, Beijing news media interviewed Dr. Liao Bing under the title "Face to Face with Chinese American Mothers." She believes that "our generation should not have to pay for our children just because our mothers have done for us. The interests of the mother and the interests of the children are both important, but they cannot be both at the same time. My challenge comes from the division of watersheds. The new era requires our knowledge to be constantly updated. I like to accept new things and explore, because the way to educate children is no longer "how we lived in the past."' In addition to feeding our children and providing them with material needs, how can we listen to their children’s inner needs in order to provide them with timely and powerful support? How can we open our hearts to each other and accompany each other through every hurdle in their growth? How can we be a parent that our children respect and a good friend that they trust in the face of various ups and downs? Keep a clear mind and stand firm? Dr. Liao Bing is good at summarizing and exploring. She has used her experience of raising a pair of children with simultaneous development of IQ and EQ for more than ten years and the harvest of years of exploration on educational issues to create her own educational concepts and methods. In her dual role as an expert and mother, she will discuss with everyone how to establish a modern parent-child relationship and cultivate mentally healthy children. **The conversation is free. Please make a voluntary donation and show your love. **
