According to CBS reports, due to high temperatures and dry weather, as of the evening of the 19th local time, forest fires were burning in 11 states in the western United States, with a total of 49 large fire points. Windy weather increased the difficulty of putting out fires.

In Utah, wildfires triggered by lightning have been burning for nearly a week and are still smoking so much that the sunrise is almost invisible in neighboring Idaho, forcing thousands of people to evacuate.

On the 19th, wind speeds reached 30 miles per hour, prompting the fire to approach the city of Ketchum, Idaho. The fire spread rapidly and local residents were told to be ready to evacuate at any time.

In Idaho, more than 100,000 acres have been burned. More than 1,800 homes were evacuated, many of them vacation homes.

Firefighters are protecting hundreds of homes. So far, only one house has been burned, but the threat of other houses being burned has not been eliminated.

Some people who were forced to evacuate were allowed to go home on the 19th, but only 8% of the fires are currently under control. The weather forecast for Tuesday (20th) calls for thunderstorms. This means that thunder and lightning and strong winds make it more difficult to control the fire.
