Protesters of State Senate Bill 1070 pleaded guilty to blocking traffic in Phoenix (Alberta Times) Nine people were found guilty of blocking Central Avenue in April (Alberta Times) Five of the protesters who were arrested and charged on Wednesday pleaded guilty to misconduct, and were serving their sentences, according to one of the protesters. A judge convicted a sixth protester, whose prison sentence has yet to be determined. About 500 protesters blocked Central Avenue for half an hour on April 25 as the Supreme Court debated the Arizona immigration law, known as SB 1070. Six of them were prepared to be arrested before the protest, while the other three were arrested for disobeying police orders.
