The preparatory meeting to commemorate Taiwan’s centenary celebration was held at 6:00pm on July 8, 2011 at the Hongle Building in Phoenix City. Consulting Overseas Chinese Affairs Consultant Yu Wenjin sent gift cakes to support the discussion of the event and sent representatives to participate. The person in charge of the activity, Consulting Overseas Chinese Affairs Consultant Yin Yanhuan, presided over the meeting. More than 20 people including Deng Chaoju, chairman of the Greater Phoenix Chinese Overseas Chinese Association, Gao Zhizhong, the overseas Chinese affairs committee member, Wang Weiting, the overseas Chinese affairs consultant, Li Linglin, the overseas Chinese affairs consultant and dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, Wang Shuying, Qiu Shunxiong, Zhang Shengyi, Wan Peijie, the overseas Chinese affairs promotion committee members, and the ASU Taiwan Student Association attended the meeting.

Taiwan's famous "Unparalleled Orchestra" will hold the "'Brilliant 100, Music Spreading Around the World" party in Phoenix. The time is scheduled for 6:00 pm on September 28th at Arcadia High School. The orchestra has a total of 24 people, and 17 people participated in the performance. All performers are very well-known singers and performers in Taiwan. At that time, the ASU Taiwan Student Association will also invite the two contestants with the best scores in the 2011 Karaoke Competition to perform warm-up performances for the party. They will compete on the spot to select the overall champion of the 2011 ASU Taiwan Student Karaoke Competition.

This performance is divided into VIP tickets and ordinary tickets. VIP tickets are $100. VIP audiences can not only sit in the best seats during the performance, but also participate in a VIP tea party before the performance. This tea party will be organized by Overseas Chinese Affairs Consultant Li Linglin. Ordinary tickets only require an event sponsorship fee of 5 yuan. If you need to buy tickets, you can do so with the participants mentioned above.

In addition to introducing the arrangements for this event, the meeting also made detailed arrangements for specific reception tasks. Overseas Chinese Affairs Consultant Wang Weiting was responsible for the reception of the performance troupe. She reported on the reception content and made a budget. Overseas Chinese Federation Secretary Yu Wenzhuo confirmed the performance venue. The performance of this performance group will also be held at Arcadia High School (4703 E Indian School Rd. Phoenix) where the "Miss Chinese Arizona" beauty pageant is held. The equipment issues during the performance are still under further discussion.
