I would like to ask if you can find a way to calm yourself down when you are angry? In the moment of trouble, can you find a way to let go of your worries? Some people will say, how is that possible? No! It's possible. Because various emotions, whether it is anger or worry, are the feelings of our hearts that are affected by the external environment. When we learn to understand the heart and be able to control it, we can make the heart less or less affected by external circumstances and can change the state of the heart at any time, establish true happiness that does not depend on external circumstances, and become the master of the heart.

Meditation is a very effective method to help us become the masters of our hearts. It directly allows us to deal with the mind, recognize its habits, train it to stay stably, recognize the ups and downs of emotions and thoughts in the heart, and learn to master the techniques and methods of regulating the mind, so that the mind can obey our command. When emotions such as panic, frustration, anger, jealousy, persistence, inferiority, guilt, etc. arise, we have the ability to return the mind to its natural state of peace and joy. Then being happy anytime and anywhere is no longer a luxury.

Meditation originated from the ancient wisdom of the East. It is now receiving more and more attention from academic medical education circles in the West. Many companies have also included meditation in employee benefits, such as Google. Western research results have proven that meditation can reduce symptoms of depression, relieve stress and anxiety, increase concentration and the speed at which the brain processes information, and improve memory. Meditation can also improve the body's immunity, lower blood pressure, etc.

Meditation is not difficult or can be said to be very simple. We can meditate while sitting, walking, driving, cooking, shopping, or even talking. The key is to find the right methods and guidance and practice them consistently. We will introduce simple meditation methods in the next issue.
