"Occupy May Day" march, one person was arrested in Si City (Alberta Times) Police said the "Occupy May Day" protest attracted more than a hundred people to the center of Scottsdale, and one person was arrested on Tuesday night for obstructing a public transportation thoroughfare. Police did not disclose the names of those arrested. Demonstrators began to gather in the Old Town of Skarsdale around 5 p.m. and marched to the Fashion Mall Plaza about an hour later. About 25 police officers attended the scene to maintain law and order. The police later launched four small smoke grenades to disperse the crowd, but there were no reports of any casualties or property damage. The demonstrators dispersed around 7:45. Organizers claimed that the demonstration was part of the "Occupy movement" across the country.
