US Airways adds local jobs (Alberta Times) Tempe-based American Airlines announced Wednesday it is bringing 150 jobs to its reservations center in Phoenix. The work was originally outsourced to an overseas call center. According to the contract, the airline will move the reservation center back to the United States starting on November 1. The move brings 200 jobs to North Carolina and 50 in Reno, Nevada. American Airlines also has an international reservations center in Liverpool, England. The company handles more than 18 million calls annually.
