Urban Golf Performance plans first Arizona center in Scottsdale

Urban Golf Performance has listed a Scottsdale facility as coming soon. The center would be the company's first in Arizona and would combine golf instruction, fitness, recovery, club fitting and club building.

Urban Golf Performance is preparing a Scottsdale expansion, with the location listed by the company as coming soon. No opening date has been released. The project would give Arizona golfers their first local access to a brand that already operates performance centers in California and Texas.

CEO Mac Todd founded Urban Golf Performance in 2013 inside a 300 square foot training bay. The company built its model around several parts of golf improvement that are often handled separately, including swing coaching, physical training, equipment work and recovery.

The process begins with a detailed review of each golfer. Urban Golf Performance evaluates swing mechanics, body movement and equipment before creating an individual development plan. The company works with a range of players, including beginners and tour professionals.

The Scottsdale facility is expected to include golf coaching, golf specific fitness, recovery services, club fitting and custom club building. The center is also expected to carry Urban Golf Performance apparel and accessories.
