Qualiherb Recalls Four Traditional Chinese Medicines California-based Finemost Coporation DBA Qualiherb recently recalled four imported traditional Chinese medicine health products under the brand Qualiherb across the United States through the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website. The Chinese names of these four products are Dingchuan Tang, Shishen Tang, Mysterious Tang, and Xuanming Tang, and their origins are Taiwan. The company took the initiative to conduct a product recall across the United States after being notified by the FDA laboratory analysis report. According to the report, the ingredient Ephedrine Alkaloids was found in the samples of these four traditional Chinese medicine soups. The FDA noted that supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids may cause serious negative body reactions, such as heart attacks, strokes, and even death, and noted that the supplements failed to disclose the presence and possible reactions of the ingredient on the label. The recalled Dingchuan Decoction codes are 20802, Shishen Decoction is 20217, Mysterious Decoction is 21022, and Xuming Decoction is 22101. The main ingredients of Dingchuan Decoction are ephedra and ginkgo, Shishen Decoction is ephedra and cohosh, Mysterious Decoction is ephedra and magnolia, and Xuming Decoction is ephedra and ginseng.
