Today is the first day after Arizona Governor Ducey declared a state of emergency, and the Pima School District decided to close all schools on Thursday. The district received information that a child at Pima Elementary School may have been exposed to an unknown illness. Parents have been bombarded with messages to keep their children in quarantine, and school districts have closed all schools while health departments test for the coronavirus. According to the website, the school district has one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school with about 1,000 students. Pima, a city 79 miles northeast of Tucson, has four confirmed cases, all from one family.
