Arizona State University (ASU) President Michael Crow, Vice President and Chairman of the Taiwan-Asian Science and Technology Exchange Association Yin Yanhuan and others, accompanied by Education Minister Jiang Weining, met with President Ma Ying-jeou at the Presidential Palace at 9 a.m. on April 1.

When receiving the delegation, President Ma Ying-jeou expressed his respect for Michael Crow for transforming a university into a famous school in a short period of time, and commended Chairman Yin Yanhuan for promoting the establishment of a sister school with Central University. President Ma Ying-jeou hoped that all universities in Taiwan could learn from Michael Crow's experience in running schools. After learning that Michael Crow would leave Taiwan by plane that afternoon, he specially ordered Minister of Education Chiang Weining to host a banquet at noon and notified the presidents of more than 20 universities including National Taiwan University to attend. During the whole process, Michael Crow was answering questions and did not eat a single bite except for a glass of Coke. After the meeting, on the way to the airport, Yin Yanhuan told Micheal Crow that today’s lunch can only serve you with a glass of Coke, but please accept my sincere respect for you on behalf of all young students in Taiwan. The emotion of a glass of Coke will remain in Taiwan forever. When Arizona State University completed the establishment of sister schools with three universities in Taiwan, it also made a spectacular debut with 25 sister schools in China.
The right-hand member is Wang Xuanzhou, the current Lieutenant General and Chief of Guard of the Presidential Palace. He was cared for by Yin Yanhuan for a long time when he was training at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix. He was also present to pay tribute to Yin that day.
