MCSO: Teenager was arrested for playing with a laser (Alberta Times) The Maricopa Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said that last Friday night, a Surprise City teenager was arrested for using a laser to affect the helicopter they were carrying out a mission. An MSCO spokesperson said that the helicopter was on a mission to rescue two adults and two children who were in danger while climbing Mount White Tank. When it left the ground around 7 o'clock, it was severely interfered with by lasers four times. A Surprise police officer said the teenager shined a laser brightly on the helicopter near BELL Road. The investigation led to the arrest of a 14-year-old suspect who has been referred to the Juvenile Division of Superior Court for felony charges. In compliance with regulations to protect juveniles, the boy's name and gender have not been released.
