On December 6, 2015, the fourth lecture series of C3C (full name: Center for Culture, Cultivation, and Commerce), a newly established non-profit organization in the Phoenix area, was held at Chandler Library to help us Chinese (including students and adults) improve social skills, teamwork, communication, and leadership.
The lecture started at 2 pm. Activity leader Huang Shuangshuang, Yixin and other parents of students were on hand to register the children. Nearly fifty Chinese students participated in the two series of lectures that afternoon. The first lecture was given by Doug Kukino, a senior leadership trainer. He made leadership skills easy to understand in the form of pictures and texts. Tell the children what leadership is, why leadership is needed, why our leadership needs to be developed, the difference between big leadership and small leadership, who you want to lead, and other issues. Doug Kukino's lectures are lively and interesting. He tries his best to involve children in answering questions and let them find answers in answering questions. Soon the children understood the concept of leadership, which is to lead a team to complete a task. What benefits does leadership bring? Through Doug Kukino's lectures, children can reach their goals faster by answering immediately.

The second leadership skills lecture was given by Huang Shuangshuang, the leader of the association. She introduced the characteristics of a good leader, such as confidence, responsibility, communication skills, etc. In order to let the children experience the skills of leaders, both groups divided the children into several groups and asked each group to go on stage to demonstrate their leadership through different themes. Some groups are selling things, and the children demonstrate their communication and cooperation skills through several steps such as product introduction, product display, bidding, bargaining, and final transaction. The wonderful display of the children received bursts of applause from the parents and classmates present.

Doug Kukino and Huang Shuangshuang are both senior leaders. They have worked in leadership roles in large companies and government departments and have many years of experience in training managers. They have also met many outstanding Asian young people in the workplace, but what worries them is that compared with young people of other ethnic groups, Asians often have excellent technical skills, but lack communication and management skills, and encounter many bottlenecks in the workplace. The C3C organization hopes that through this series of lectures, children will pay attention to developing their own leadership skills at a relatively young age. The children learned very happily. A mother studying MBA also said that such lectures were very good and she felt that her children benefited a lot. C3C’s leadership lectures are still continuing.
