A recent study funded by the National Institutes of Health showed that the top kidney transplant center in the United States is the Banner Good Samaritan Hospital Organ Transplant Center in Phoenix. This study was published through a website called Konnectology. After comparing the successful transplant cases of 246 kidney transplant centers across the country, Banner Good Samaritan ranked the best. Since its establishment in 1969, the Banner Good Samaritan Hospital Organ Transplant Center has completed 3,200 kidney transplant surgeries. The hospital has also been awarded "Best Hospitals in America" by U.S. News & World Report magazine many times, and its departments of diabetes and endocrinology, cardiology and cardiac surgery, gynecology, and geriatrics are all ranked among the top 50 in the United States.
