The plan will allow users to purchase the phone in installments and upgrade to a new device after one year. But if the user decides to keep the phone, he will need to continue paying for 8 months. The installment fee ranges from RMB 15-50 per month depending on the device. For example, the regular price of the 16G iPhone 5 is US$649.99, and the monthly installment payment is US$32.50. The new plan will be implemented from July 26.
