ASU and UA have passed a 3% fall tuition increase (Compiled by this website) On Thursday (April 4, 2013), the University Senate approved Arizona State University (ASU) and the University of Arizona (UA) to increase tuition by 3% starting from this fall semester. This new student at Arizona State University will increase the school's revenue by $10,000. In this way, tuition for ASU in-state freshmen will rise to $282 to $10,002 per year, UA students will rise to $356 to $10,391 per year, and Northern Arizona University will rise by 5%. But most students are on the Tuition Commitment Plan and their tuition will remain the same. Freshmen will pay $467 to $9738 per year. Three students asked the academic board to change the policy. One said she was about to graduate, but because she was an undocumented student, she had to pay higher tuition. She could only attend one semester and take one semester off, so she could spend more time earning tuition. One 24-year-old student told the Senate there was no reason why it would take them 10 years to complete a five-year university degree. If the price increase policy is not changed, this situation will happen soon.
