Woman arrested for calling 911 to complain about police officers A Scottsdale woman complained that police officers did not activate the non-emergency line and called 911. The police report said that at about 5 a.m. last Saturday, Ms. Faust, who lived in an apartment building in Old Town Scottsdale, and her friends were drunk and knocked on the door of her ex-boyfriend's house, saying that her cell phone was inside. The police arrived at the scene after receiving the call for help. After searching the apartment, no mobile phone was found. Later, the police asked Faust to leave. Faust believed the officer was rude to her and called 911 to complain. In Arizona, it is a crime to make a non-emergency 911 call. After the 911 operator explained to Faust, she still stood by her complaint. So the operator asked Faust to give his address, hung up the phone, and directly notified the police officers present to arrest the drunken Faust. Ms Faust's misuse of 911 could result in a $750 fine and up to four months in jail.
