57 million funds to assist Alberta homeowners, the wave of housing bankruptcies may decrease again. As Arizona home prices continue to rise, Arizona Attorney General Tom Horn delivered new good news during a press conference on Monday. Arizona received $57 million in funding to directly help distressed homeowners, taking practical actions to alleviate housing pressure and reduce the possibility of a large number of bankruptcies again. Nationwide, $2.5 billion in funds from the four largest U.S. banks was used to aid the crisis when the real estate bubble burst. Alberta received $97.7 million. The province is trying to allocate $57 million to help homeowners facing bankruptcy and put the other half into the state budget. But the Alberta Housing Alliance, the Center for Public Affairs and the Institute for Justice are seeking to overturn the Mariecoopa Supreme Court decision. Horn said the money will be available to assist struggling property owners starting early next year. There are several methods: 41 million will be given directly to owners to help those veterans, the elderly, the unemployed, or those with serious medical burdens. This will reduce their mortgage payments through a variety of channels. The consumer association will also use the money to file complaints about loan company service and help homeowners obtain fair loan decisions. Assistance will also be provided to property owners who have unfair lending relationships with loan companies.
