High-tech talents will appear in Phoenix, with more than 500 good jobs available. The 2011 Silicon Valley-Phoenix High-tech Talents Job Fair was successfully held on May 1 at the Fiesta Resort Conference Center in Phoenix. This job fair is hosted by China-American Semiconductor Association (CASPA)/SEMI. Following the Silicon Valley Job Fair on April 30, six world-renowned companies including INTEL, MAVELL, Lenovo, TSMC, ON SEMI, and MAXIM moved to Phoenix, bringing nearly a hundred recruitment positions. Zhong Yuping, chairman of the recruitment association of the association, said that judging from the more than 500 positions in the two job fairs, the talent recruitment characteristics of the semiconductor industry are global and comprehensive, so this year is also a golden period for high-tech talents at all levels to develop their careers. This year's recruitment positions are not limited to regions and fields. The locations of the positions include the Phoenix area, Silicon Valley area, other regions in the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. This not only brings more opportunities for employees, but also brings more talent choices for companies to recruit across regions and fields. Jon Carvill, vice president of Global Foundries, said that geography is no longer a limitation, finding talent is the key. Alice Young, senior manager of human resources at Marvell, said that semiconductor companies are mostly moving into the production of system products, so the demand for software talents is becoming increasingly strong. The number of software and hardware positions has changed from the original 28-percent opening to the current 40-60 opening. With the rapid rise of Phoenix's electronics industry, many well-known companies in the semiconductor industry have shifted their focus to Phoenix, and more new high-tech industries have settled in Phoenix. This will undoubtedly bring new opportunities to Phoenix's electronics industry. At this job fair, the job demand and job levels in the Phoenix area have increased significantly compared with previous years. Shi Sheng, president of the association's Phoenix branch, pointed out that Phoenix's position in the electronics industry in the United States and even the world is becoming increasingly important. Phoenix's unique natural conditions have enabled the electronics industry to develop rapidly in Phoenix. He also hopes to attract more industry elites to settle in Phoenix through the job fair and achieve further development of the electronics industry here. The China-American Semiconductor Association has held 15 annual job fairs in Silicon Valley in the past 16 years. The Phoenix Chapter has hosted many job fairs in the Phoenix area since 2003. The Phoenix Chapter of the China-American Semiconductor Association, as a branch of CASPA in phoenix, will be committed to providing a communication and development platform for member companies and members in the long term, aiming to promote member networking, discuss professional knowledge, pay attention to member interests, promote member welfare, and exchange global entrepreneurship and employment information. Zhou Haohua, vice president of the Phoenix branch of the association, said that the association will hold more professional lectures, industry trend seminars, talent recruitment fairs and other activities from time to time, and will continue to play a bridge role between Chinese and American companies and members.
