The National Judicial Examination Office of the Ministry of Justice held a ceremony in Xiamen on the 24th to issue the "Legal Professional Qualification Certificate" to Taiwanese residents who passed the national judicial examination in 2010 and were granted qualifications. On behalf of the Ministry of Justice, Du Chun, Director of the Lawyer Notarization Guidance Department of the Ministry of Justice, read out the notice of the Ministry of Justice granting legal professional qualifications to 47 Taiwan residents. The 32 Taiwanese residents who attended the certificate awarding ceremony were very excited when they came to the stage to receive the certificates. They unanimously expressed their desire to contribute to cross-strait economic development, social harmony, and people's livelihood and well-being. You Zhilang, senior consultant of Taipei Li Ci International Technology Law Firm, spoke on behalf of those who were awarded the qualification. In an interview with reporters, he said that the mainland's opening of Taiwan residents to participate in the national judicial examination provides a good opportunity for relevant professionals in Taiwan. You Zhilang, who was born in 1954 and has worked in the field of television media for more than 20 years, said that taking this exam was a challenge in his life and a very meaningful process. You Zhilang said that after receiving the certificate this time, he will re-plan his life path. He will work in mainland China and strive to make contributions in intellectual property and legal services. It is reported that nearly 350,000 people across the country signed up to take the 2010 Judicial Examination. Among them, 392 Taiwan residents took the exam, and 47 obtained passing scores of 360 or above. According to statistics from the Ministry of Justice, a total of 1,583 Taiwan residents signed up to take the judicial examination in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Among them, 140 passed the exam and obtained the "Legal Professional Qualification Certificate." Currently, 16 people have obtained the professional qualification of mainland lawyers.
