The results of the Arizona State University Student and Scholar Association election will be announced on April 21. The following is the relevant notice from the student union: Election voter qualifications: 1) All current Chinese students and scholars at ASU 2) Current Chinese faculty at ASU 3) ASU Chinese alumni Procedures for this election 1) Those who are interested in running for student union president should mail their resume, campaign outline (1-2 pages), and a recent photo to cssaelection2013@gmail.com from the date of this announcement to 11:59 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2013. 2) Election voting start time: 11:59 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013; Election voting deadline: 11:59 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013; 3) Election results announcement time: Sunday, April 21, 2013; Specific voting methods: After determining your ideal candidate, please use your asu.edu email address to send an email to cssaelection2013@gmail.com, and write the email subject: The content of the CSSA Election email must include: a) The Chinese name of the candidate to vote for b) The voter’s ASU student card number (10 digits)? Note: We only give this number to ASU to verify the voter and keep it confidential, and will never make it public! No other uses! When announcing the voting results, we keep the names of all voters confidential and only show the last 4 digits of the student ID card c) Voter's name (must be the complete Chinese name or Chinese pinyin, English names and abbreviations are considered invalid votes) Valid votes: Emails that do not meet any of the following conditions are considered invalid votes (1) Must be sent to the asu.edu email address (2) The 10-digit ASU student ID number of the voter must be provided (for example: 1000xxxxxx) (3 ) The voter’s name must be provided (must be the complete Chinese name or pinyin, English names and abbreviations are considered invalid votes) (4) The email must be sent within the voting time (5) The name of the candidate voted for must be correct, and there must be no typos or spelling errors. Each email is counted as one vote; each voter can only vote for one candidate (if he votes for multiple candidates at the same time, all votes cast by the voter will be considered invalid votes). In order to achieve a fair, just and open election, the Student Union will announce real-time vote counts before 1 a.m. every two days. If the time changes, we will update it in time, so stay tuned!
