The number of Arizona COVID-19 cases caused by the new coronavirus has now exceeded 1,400, with 29 known deaths, according to new data released by the Arizona Department of Health Services on Wednesday.

Maricopa County with 871 cases.

Navajo County with 102 cases.

Pinal County with 65 cases.

Coconino County with 85 cases.

Pima County with 217 cases.

Graham County with 2 cases.

Yavapai County with 24 cases.

Santa Cruz County with 3 cases

Cochise County with 4 cases

Yuma County with 12 cases

Apache County with 17 cases

Mohave County with 7 cases

La Paz with 2 cases

Gila County with 1 case

Greenlee County with 1 case

Since Tuesday, the state has reported 1,289 confirmed cases and 24 deaths, an increase of 124 confirmed cases, or 10%.

Maricopa County has recorded 11 COVID-19 related deaths as of Wednesday morning. Eight people died in Pima County and four in Coconino, according to their respective websites. Navajo reports one new death, a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions.

Confirmed cases increased by 82 from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Among the majority of cases, 469 are male, accounting for 54%.

> People aged 20 to 44 account for 39% of positive cases, followed by those aged 45-64 at 36% and those over 65 at 23%.

18%, or 158 hospitalizations.

There are 7% of cases (i.e. 58) in intensive care units.

As you get older, your likelihood of being hospitalized or in the intensive care unit increases. Among those aged 20-44, 24 are hospitalized, including seven in the ICU. For people aged 45-64, 55 are hospitalized and 20 are in intensive care units. Among people over 65, 79 are hospitalized and 31 are in the ICU.

Eleven people died in Maricopa County.

Cases are rising sharply across the state. The four confirmed patients in Cochise County were all locally transmitted, and a local adult woman with no travel history was infected.
