Bumbo International Trust and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced Wednesday that Bumbo International Trust is voluntarily recalling 4 million infant seats. The South African company's products have caused dozens of injuries, including skull fractures.

Since 2007, there have been at least 50 accident reports of babies falling out of those foam seats, according to NBC News. Nineteen of the babies suffered skull fractures.

Another 34 reports said babies were injured when the one-piece seats were placed on the floor or raised above the ground, including two babies with skull fractures.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission urges people with such seats not to use them until they receive a repair kit.

This seat is the second recall: About 1 million Bamber infant seats were recalled in October 2007 to provide additional warnings about using them high above the ground.

Consumer groups urged the council in February to recall the infant seat. Rachel Weintraub, director of product safety for the Consumer Federation of America, said this is a very important action they have taken. These injuries should never have happened.

These baby seats are produced in South Africa and have multiple warnings on them. They are sold at stores such as Babies R Us, Sears, Target Corp, Toys R Us, USA Babies and Walmart for $30-$50.
