On March 9, according to the latest data from the Arizona Department of Public Health, there were no new cases in Arizona. But among the five confirmed cases, one is from the Pinal County school district. A total of 56 people have been tested in Arizona, 44 people have been ruled out as infected, and 7 people are waiting for results.

Two new cases on Sunday came from the same family in Pinal county. One of the patients is a Queen Creek student who attends American Leadership Academy, Ironwood K-12. The Arizona Health Services Center said the patient has recovered. When the patient had symptoms, he did not go to school, so the possibility of transmission in school is low. It is spring break, and school management has ample time to complete the disinfection and cleaning work recommended by the public health department so that the school can return to normal order after spring break. Parents and staff will receive letters from the school informing them about how to prevent COVID-19.

Pinal County is located between Phoenix and Tucson and is a rapidly developing suburban area.
