"America is united, America is united. Come on America"
On Monday, April 6, three Greater Phoenix Associations, the Yunnan Association, the Guizhou Association and the Sichuan and Chongqing Association, donated 2,000 medical masks to the Chandler City Government's agency responsible for senior centers and welfare. Chandler Mayor Corwin Harker and organization director Ms. Christine Ellis were present in person to accept the donation. Present at the donation ceremony were Mr. Xu Qiang and Ms. Liu Yanxuan, the executive presidents of the Yunnan Association, and their sons, Ms. Wen Kajia, the president of the Guizhou Association, and Mr. Chen Zhigang, the executive president of the Sichuan and Chongqing Association, well-known overseas Chinese leader Situ Sanmu and local Chinese media. It is very commendable that Ms. Liu’s son, Eddie, personally made several protective masks out of transparent plastic sheets as donations. Among the four slogans, in addition to the names of the three hometown associations, the one that best reflects the aspirations of the Chinese people is "United America! Come on America!". The handover ceremony was filled with an atmosphere of unity, friendship and encouragement. (Reported by Zigang)
