On January 25, 2020, the Alberta Spring Festival Gala was successfully held at the Meisha Art Center. On January 26, an unconfirmed false news was published on a WeChat platform.

The platform sent unconfirmed false news about the epidemic, causing panic among the local Chinese people. After being complained by many people, the platform issued a clarification message.

In line with the attitude of being responsible for event participants and audiences, the organizer immediately contacted the CDC, the most authoritative public health agency in the United States. The CDC stated that the CDC would directly contact the person in charge to investigate the confirmed cases of Wuhan pneumonia discovered by the ASU and the locations and activities of the people who came into contact with them as soon as possible. None of the ASU Wuhan pneumonia patients and all contacts had participated in the "Alberta Spring Festival Gala". Although some participants have been notified of the truth through private messages in recent days, many viewers are still troubled by this rumor. It is hereby announced that based on information from the CDC, "ASU Wuhan pneumonia patients and all contacts have not participated in the Alberta Spring Festival Gala."

During the extraordinary period of the domestic epidemic, publishing and spreading rumors are extremely shameless and disruptive to normal social order. The organizer reserves the right to take legal action against platforms and individuals who spread rumors.

After consultation with the CDC and the Alberta Public Health Agency, Arizona is currently safe and the risk of infection is very low. Chinese friends please protect your image in the multicultural community, do not spread rumors, do not panic, and maintain reasonable health and safety behaviors.

In view of the fact that public and private schools in Alberta are operating normally, the Art Institute of Alberta will still hold classes as normal after the "Alberta Spring Festival Gala" and will hold free open classes from February 1st to 9th. All new students can take a week of free dance classes. The specific courses are as follows,

Professor Chen Wei is currently on vacation, and her class will be replaced by Teacher Qiu. A ventriloquism hand shadow class taught by Chinese acrobatic master Jiao Jiandong will also start in the near future. For specific information about trial classes, please contact (480) 287-0180 in advance and we will prepare in advance.
