Hong Kong, May 9th (Reporter Zhao Bo) To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Hong Kong will hold the "Stamp Exhibition of Must-Historical Figures of Xinhai" from the 9th. The exhibition commemorates many revolutionary leaders and revolutionary patriots through more than 100 precious stamps, and also pays tribute to their noble sentiments of selfless dedication and serving the country and the people.

The stamps on display include the "Recovery of the Republic of China Commemorative" stamps issued in 1912, the "Martyrs Portraits Ordinary Stamps" with the portrait of Liao Zhongkai as the main image during the Republic of China, and the "State Funeral of Premier Sun" issued in Nanjing in 1929 "Commemorative Stamps", the first-day cover of "Portrait Stamps of Martyr Qiu Jin" issued in 1967, the first-day covers and folds of "Celebrity Portrait Stamps Zao Lu Haodong" issued in 1979, the commemorative stamps and first-day covers of "Huang Xing, a famous leader of the Revolution of 1911" issued in 1968, etc.

The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, located in the Mid-Levels of Central, Hong Kong, was established in December 2006. It is an important place for Hong Kong citizens and tourists visiting Hong Kong to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s revolutionary footprints in Hong Kong. The memorial hall has two permanent exhibition halls, displaying a number of precious historical relics and diversified audio-visual programs to comprehensively explain Sun Yat-sen's life and deeds, as well as the important role played by Hong Kong in the reform and revolutionary movement from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.

"Stamp Exhibition of Xinhai Characters in History" will last until August 18. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, Hong Kong will also hold a series of commemorative activities, including exhibitions, seminars, operas, etc., to allow Hong Kong citizens to understand this important page in China's modern history.
