Taiwan presented mainland China's sika deer "Fanxing" and "Diandian" and long-maned goats "Pleasant Goat" and "Le Sheep". After successfully passing the quarantine period, they officially met with tourists on the 28th.
On the morning of the 28th, reporters saw the male sika deer "Stars" strutting around in the outdoor venues at the Sika Deer Hall and Long-maned Goat Hall located in Liugong Island National Forest Park in Weihai, while "Diandian" followed suit behind, very affectionate. The long-maned goats "Pleasant Goat" and "Le Sheep Goat" are relatively "shy" and spend most of their time hiding behind rockeries and shade trees, watching tourists from a distance.
According to Yuan Xuen, director of the Liugong Island Administrative Committee, after one month of isolation, inspection and quarantine and more than ten days of outdoor adaptation, the two pairs of "babies" have basically adapted to their new home in Weihai, and their living conditions have reached the same level as in Taiwan.
Two sika deer and two long-maned goats presented by Taiwan compatriots to mainland compatriots arrived at their new home on Liugong Island, Weihai from Taipei on April 16.
